Terms of Service
The terms that govern access to and use of Recap.
Effective date: September 29, 2026
Using Recap
You may use Recap only if you can form a binding agreement and comply with these terms and applicable laws.
You are responsible for your account, repository connections, authorized users, and all activity under your account.
Your content and access
You retain ownership of your code, repository information, and changelog content. You grant Recap the limited rights needed to read authorized repository data, generate summaries, operate the product, and provide support.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to connect any repository or organization to Recap.
Subscriptions and credits
Paid plans provide the monthly credit allowance shown at checkout or in your account. Credits are used for AI summarization and reset according to the billing terms of your plan.
You agree to pay applicable fees and taxes. We may update pricing or plan features with notice where required.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse Recap, attempt to bypass usage limits or security controls, reverse engineer the service, use it to violate third-party rights, or connect repositories you are not authorized to access.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe use of the service creates risk, violates these terms, or may harm Recap, users, or third parties.
Disclaimers and liability
Recap is provided as-is and as-available. AI-generated summaries may be inaccurate or incomplete, and you are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recap is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.
